The Institute of architectural physics began to work in the field of architectural physics in the 1960s. It is one of the earliest institutions in China to engage in this field.

The Institute has three professional research rooms
The laboratory for the detection and research of exterior protective structure (Guangdong building curtain wall quality inspection center) can undertake the technical services of building curtain wall, doors and windows, roof detection, etc;
Building wind engineering research laboratory can provide wind tunnel test and wind resistance consulting services for all kinds of super high-rise buildings, large-span spatial structures, high-rise structures, long-span bridges and other large-scale construction projects;
Building curtain wall appraisal and consulting room: it can undertake the technical services of structural safety, normal usability appraisal and consultation of existing curtain wall.

The Institute of building physics adheres to inject vitality into the technical service business with scientific research innovation.
